Living in a beach community that experiences all four seasons is thrilling. You can start your beach adventures as early as late April and they can continue through mid October. Being a local allows you to take advantage of the sporadic nice weather at the drop of a hat. The once “seasonal” beach town is becoming more year round to young families and new retirees. With my design clients, I have seen countless homes that boast a beach theme throughout their decor, whether they are seasonal or permanent residents. And if their home doesn’t have a coastal feel they usually are looking to achieve one. At the beach coral tones are always in fashion.

Coral colors sometimes favor orange tones more than pink tones and vice versa, while both pair amazingly with blue tones. A favorite for many of my clients, both with style and design, is coral and aqua. It makes sense since on a color wheel these colors are direct compliments (they are located across from one another on the color wheel). This lively shade of pink can be paired with a variety of blue tones and/or neutrals to create just the right amount of impact for tastes that are bold or subtle.
